Genesis

1994. Acrylic on stretched canvas. 48"x60".

A seething shell of gas is thrown violently into space by one of the rarest of all celestial bodies, a Wolf-Rayet star. These blue giants are among the hottest and most massive of all stars. Wolf-Rayet stars occasionally expel starstuff into space to gain stability during their brief, turbulent lives.
