1995. Acrylic on stretched canvas. 48"x60".
Encircled by a family of rocky moons, a giant planet stands sentinel on the periphery of the ancient globular star cluster, 47 Tucanae. The soft, candlelight radiance of this swarm is evidence of its great age. 47 Tucanae is one of the largest objects of its kind and is populated by over a million glittering suns. More than one hundred of these giant star clusters patrol the outer reaches of our Milky Way galaxy.
